2024 AUVSI Xponential – “Integrating Weather into Emerging Aviation Technologies and Autonomy”
There is a giant hurdle that, if not addressed, will be detrimental to the future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). How we address this challenge will make or break the development and adoption of AAM systems.
This presentation will cover the main challenges and discuss what are the critical requirements to prepare for safe and predictable travel in the future airspace. This panel will also provide an opportunity for audience members to ask questions directly to the leaders who are shaping future weather requirements for AAM, UAS, and aerial autonomous vehicles.
Panelists include:
- Moderator: Tom Froominckx, EVP TruWeather Solutions
- Michael Horner, RDT&E Meteorologist – AFLCMC/XAW (AFWERX Partner)
- Philip Kenul, F38 Committee on UAS, ASTM International
- Nancy Mendonca, Deputy AAM Mission Integration Manager – NASA
